We're a dental practice that's rooted in community and built on heart.
From the beginning, this practice was built on relationships. We have cared for generations of families, often seeing parents, children, and grandparents all under the same roof. That longevity matters to us. It allows us to truly know our patients, understand their history, and provide care that supports long-term health instead of short-term fixes.
As an independently owned practice, we are not driven by quotas, corporate policies, or insurance mandates. We are guided by people. That independence gives us the freedom to slow down, take our time, and make thoughtful decisions based on what is best for each individual patient.
Heart of the City Dental exists because we believe dentistry should feel personal, comfortable, and human, because great care starts with genuine connection.

meet our team
Hey! I’m Dr. Heidi! I went to the University of Minnesota for both undergrad and dental school. Go Gophers!!! What I love most about dentistry is the relationships I get to build and the lives I get to change by helping someone achieve a smile they’ve always wanted. I’m a continuing education junkie and travel all over the U.S. to stay up to date on the latest and greatest in dentistry.
I’m actively involved in several professional organizations and regularly volunteer with Mission Outpost Dental Clinic and Mission of Mercy. I grew up in Apple Valley, my husband grew up in Burnsville, and we met in high school. We have a son who loves football and sports cards, plus two cats who are experts at eating and sleeping. Outside the office, I love traveling (I’ve been to all seven continents!), waterskiing, and reading whenever I can. If you have a favorite book or travel spot, I want to hear about it.

Hey! I’m Maria! I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we have two beautiful children. We live in Inver Grove Heights with our two dogs, George and Jane, on our own slice of heaven.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me in the vegetable garden, caring for our chickens, or cooking with my kids. I’ve loved dental care since working at a front desk at 18 and am thrilled to be part of HOTCD.

Hey! I’m Jacqulene! I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, majoring in Community Health Education, which sparked my passion for preventative healthcare and led me into dental administration.
I love animals, traveling, cooking, entertaining, and stand-up comedy. I live in Chanhassen with my fiancé, Aaron, and our two cats, Gus and Winnie. I was born in Colorado, and the mountains always feel like home.

Hey! I’m Jenna! I live locally in Burnsville with my husband, Korbyn, along with our poodle, Izzie, and our cat, Charlie. When I’m not at HOTCD, you can usually find me working out at Southside Athletic, attending themed drag brunches, or hosting “crafternoons” with friends.
Fun fact, I’m an ordained minister in Minnesota and have my biggest wedding booked for June 2026.

Hey! I’m Eriel, like the mermaid but spelled with an E! I graduated from dental hygiene school in 2013 and have loved helping people keep their teeth healthy and bright ever since.
When I’m not cleaning teeth, I enjoy spending time with my son and my nieces and nephews, cooking new recipes, gardening in the summer, and caring for my houseplant collection year round.

Hey! I’m Kristin! I graduated from Normandale Community College in 2012 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. My passion is helping patients maximize their oral health by meeting them where they’re at and creating customized home care routines that truly set them up for success.
I live in Apple Valley with my husband, our son, and three cats, and enjoy fitness, clean eating, paddle boarding, yoga, camping, and audiobooks.

Hey! I’m Jennifer! I’ve been a dental hygienist since 2005 and love working with patients while educating them on gum health. I believe in finding tools and routines that actually work for each individual, including the magic of a shower flosser.
Outside of work, my daughter and I love finding adventure together, from helicopter rides over Two Harbors to rock hunting. I also enjoy gardening whenever I can.

Hey! I’m Kim! I graduated from Farmington High School in 1981 and Normandale in 1982, and I’ve been a dental assistant for 43 years, with the last 21 spent at Heart of the City.
I live in a newly remodeled townhome with my sister and her shih-tzu bichon support dog, Izzy. I enjoy watching sports, spending time with friends and family, and playing a pull tab or two.

Hey! I’m Jody! I’ve been a dental assistant since 1995 and have continued expanding my licensure, most recently passing my boards for local anesthesia. I love giving back through volunteer work with Mission Outpost, Team Smile, and Mission of Mercy.
I enjoy scuba diving with my husband and we have 3 beautiful grandbabies. I also enjoy running races, mountain climbing, pickleball, crafting, and traveling. I grew up in Wisconsin and am a HUGE Green Bay Packers fan. I was finally lucky enough to go to Lambeau Field for the first time November 2025, and it was AMAZING!

I have a husband and two boys, so I enjoy cooking and watching football. In my free time, I love hiking, gardening, traveling, and I’m a huge Justin Bieber fan.
